Needed....MOTIVATION

Okay....Help me quilters and fellow bloggers. I need some encouragement to quilt. I completed my 7 quilts for family that I gave at Christmas time...and I've not quilted or sewn since. What's up with that?! Maybe I did too much at one time. I need to get myself motivated. I wrapped myself up in a quilt top the other day and wished I could get motivated to quilt it. There's two or three or four tops that I need to quilt. I vowed not to start a new project until I quilted those...I've not started another project but I've also not quilted any of my tops either. I am back in school getting my Master's Degree in Nursing and working 3 days a week so that does take up a lot of my time. My husband is out of town a lot...so I can't use that as an excuse. I've not visited my LQS in several weeks or taken any classes (because I don't want to start another project). The Atlanta Shop Hop will be happening in about a month...maybe that will motivate me some. I plan on dropping in on some blogs hoping that will encourage me...seeing what everyone else is doing. Below are three that I need to quilt.

Thanks for stopping by...Happy Living, Happy Quilting!

i'd put feather wreaths in the onpoint 16patches in the first one with a lime green thread

i'd have to sit and stare at the second one, but something would come up

  2. It is okay to take a break and you sounds like you are pretty busy.It will come back to you.
Those are some great quilts and even though you said you didn't want to start something, maybe just a small something will get you back in the mood.

  6. Wow, those are 3 gorgeous quilt tops! If the 'spirit' hasn't moved you yet, just tell yourself you are waiting for inspiration to strike. You have a lot on your plate - perhaps some smallish quick projects could get your quilting-mojo going again. Whenever I am in a slump, I thrumb through lots of quilting magazines, books, and visit lots of blogs. Blog surfing almost always gets the quilting-juices flowing. Good luck and don't worry, the urge to quilt will return. Congratualtions on going back to college to upgrade your degree. Good for you! I'm sending you {{hugs}}.
Thank you for visiting and following on my blog today -- I will most definitely be back to visit you, too!

  7. It sounds as if you have been and still are busy, maybe you just need to take this break from all the sewing and quilting. The urge to get that machine going will soon come back I am sure. You have three lovely quilt tops to start when you feel like it.

  8. I usually feel a little less motivated after I have the top done too. Some people love the actually quilting process. Me? I'm okay once I get into it, but it always feels like a little hurdle to overcome, the getting started part. Maybe breaking it down into the smallest baby steps? Make a backing. Get your binding ready. Mop your floor (or maybe that's just me, lol). Good luck. Those are all awesome quilt tops!
