October Retreat at A Scarlet Thread Quilt Shop

Another fun and successful sewing retreat hosted by my LQS . There were about 25 folks there all having a grand time, sewing, eating, sewing, laughing, sewing, sharing, sewing, making new friends, and sewing, eating......etc, etc, etc!

This was a project completed by Harriette. There was a circular bargello class taught by Peggy Barkle the day before and many were working on there projects.  They were all stunning! Check out other bargello pics and retreat pics and strip club pics on the blog.

I elected to work on smaller projects. I did this little bag...not quite done yet. I need to serge some deco thread around the edges and make a flower using Clover's new kanzashi flower maker (which I bought at the retreat).

The group at work. We all had such fun! I believe January's retreat only has 4 slots available! It fills up very fast!

Thanks for visiting. Happy Quilting! Happy Living!

  1. Hey! Looks like a ton of fun! I'm glad you were able to go! Which flower maker did you get? I watched the video, it looks cool! I think I liked the rounded one best, but then the one with the mixed pedals was really pretty too!

  2. I bought the rounded one. They didn't have anymore of the pointed. Before I even saw the video I was thinking of getting both and mixing them. Glad the video reinforced that idea.
